West Point Light

The West Point Light at Discovery Park is the oldest light house in Puget Sound. Opened in 1881, the light was illuminated by a kerosene lamp for its first 44 years when it was then connected to the city’s power grid.

Now managed by the Seattle Parks and Recreation Department, the light house is currently being renovated.

This is a wonderful place to explore with trails, beaches and open spaces for nature and wildlife viewing. I plan on getting out here again soon.
