Two minutes, fourteen seconds

Seems like lately, that all parts of the country have been feeling a little heat. Even here in Washington State, our high temps have been flirting with 90 degrees. I shot this around sunset on one of the hottest days of the year for us so far. I like the way the water picked up the early evening’s light. On a hot, muggy evening, it looks cool and inviting.

I was intending on doing some longer exposures, around 30 to 60 seconds, but got distracted when I tripped the shutter on this one and lost track of the time. Surprisingly, the exposure of 2:14 turned out to be just about right!

I flipped this image to make it work better with the calendar layout but the original (without the overlay) is available for purchase on Fine Art America.
