December’s wallpaper is another photo from our trip to France. This time, it’s the Royal Chapel in the Palace of Versailles. The most amazing thing to me about Versailles is not just that it is preserved, but that it is available to the public. It is an amazing historical place to visit.
The chapel was completed in 1710 for King Louis XIV, and was used daily for the King’s Mass. Today the chapel is blocked off to the public. My only complaint about our visit to Versailles was that it was very crowded. This was one of the few places at Versailles where you could take a picture that wasn’t full of tourists.
