My experience at Snoqualmie Falls seems like it has always been shrouded in mist. It seems like every time I’ve gone to shoot the falls, there has been such a volume of mist that viewing the falls themselves was a challenge, and a wet one at that.
With family in town, we decided to try our luck with the weather. Arriving at the falls, we found that not only were the falls raging, but the observation platform was damp but free of mist!
Tripod set, ND filter on, ¼ sec at f22 and we’re set. Back home I used the adjustment brush in Lightroom to bring out more detail in the falls, then one of the HDR filters from Perfect Effects 8. Pretty happy with the end result 🙂
